Take me to Candyland!

Doesn't that skirt make you want to eat it? I know I felt that way when I saw it at a friend of mine who, fortunately for me, didn't want it (I seriously can't understand why) therefore I adopted it. I adore the fact that it's so fluffy and of course filled with colors!

Nothing much is happening right now, except that I have to think about another project for school..

Second Day

Photos taken the otherday while walking around the areas arond Lisbon, gardens and beautiful old cities. I totally love it here..it is so beautiful and clean.
Today I went in Lisbon´s center and did a little shopping, it was very hot today, but unfortunately I didn't had my camera with me but I will be sure to go there again and take lots of photos.
In the mean time enjoy these few photos. A casual, fun outfit I chose for long walks.
Tomorrow I am going to visit Palacio da Pena, a beautiful castle in Sintra, I can't wait! Stay tuned!

Fashion Exhibition

Today I went to a fashion exhibition held at the ASE (Academy of Economic Studies) which consists of works made by fashion students at my University throughout the years. Take a sneak peak, it's good!

These beautiful handmade costumes are just divine! They took my breath away, not all of them were good, but still.. the details and the amount of work you put in these, really is demanding.

Next are dresses, or should I say gowns made out of paper! Isn't it interesting?

And this is what I wore for the day at the atelier and then I went straight to the exhibition. As you see I opted for quite a casual look, tried some layers and accents of colors, but I really wanted to be simple since I had some errands to run afterwards.

Working

Aren't these cute? I painted them thinking of Jack Skellington and snowmen.

Since I was left today without a photographer, I took these shots myself at college while working. I wanted to show you this skirt my grandmother made me inspired by the D&G Fall 2006 collection as you can see below:

I adored that collection so I asked her a long time ago to make me this skirt.. I love it even now! All the collection was based on pure white knits, dresses, skirts, sweaters.. It was exactly what I wanted to wore at that time. Check the whole collection here.

Also here is a little preview of what I had been doing these days. My work is almost done and I cannot wait to take them out and play.

Now I have to focus on some projects, because the end of the semester is very close..

Almost Spring

The day I shot these photos was so warm and lovely and now it's a fog so dense that you can cut it with a knife. I bought the shorts on sales, they were a great finding, what I loved about them was the high waist and the color, not black, but khaki. That day I bought fabrics and I am starting to make other stuff for myself, I am so excited, can't wait to see the result! You will see as well, quite soon..

Just another day..

Indeed it's just another day. Nothing much to say except that I have been spending most of my Saturnday working on some stuff of my own, modifying blouses and pants. I'll do posts with them when I'll feel a little more warmth here.

I shot these photos Friday at college, which was quite a wasted day. I have helped a firend of mine with some sewing and playing around with my camera. I think I'll make tomorrow a very lazy Sunday. I wish something exciting will come up these days.

say NO to skinny

First..I want to say how much I love these pants and how sorry I am that I wore them so little this fall. I don't know why...I guess sometimes it's just easier to take a pair of ordinary pants or jeans, a sweater or Tee and just hurry to school/work.  Second, I am sick of skinny jeans. I feel so bored wearing them and tired of seeing them on every girl. Whenever I see a girl wearing large or high-waisted bottoms she immediately catches my eye. I need to make myself some new, un-ordinary (if there is such  a word) clothes so I won't feel like another sheep in the herd.

On another note, my project has been a little delayed, so I can be a little relaxed, so, starting from Friday I am going to take myself a short vacation.

Mustard shoes

So, I finally took my new shoes out for a walk. Actually I took them yesterday , but only today I managed to take a few photos. The day-light was fading, so this is all I could do! It's cold here, very weird for this time of the year but I missed wearing this cardigan! So, I took it with me; it's sooo warm! I met with a few friends, pausing from my work on my project. More, soon, expect some sketches.
