I received macarons for my birthday! Oh I was so psyched, I wished for a long time to taste them, and they are indeed crunchy and creamy and yummy! The chocolate and vanilla flavor are my favorite. I had quite a lovely time on my birthday, my friends and I gathered for a barbecue in the woods, the weather was great. I am not much of a party girl, so this was a great way to celebrate my 21st Spring of my life.
These photos were taken yesterday, my boyfriend and I went for a walk, and although it rained that day, it was quite warm; also we saw "Water for Elephants" - I was so curious about the movie since I read the book and I was amazed by it - and it reached my expectations, it's well put together, and the circus life has always fascinated me for some unexplained reason.
Now I am off for another day in the city.

I have been listening to this song from The Cure today and it's been hypnotizing me all night, and when looking through these photos while it played in the background it felt like a completed puzzle. I have always been enchanted by forests and rarely I got the occasion to shot decent photos, due to the low light. Yesterday I went for a walk, this forest is very much in my hometown, it's like a park, and lots of people walk in it, so I took the chance and played around in the woods.
Tomorrow I am heading back to Bucharest, my short vacation is over but my birthday is coming up shortly. Hopefully in won't rain.
And this is my 100th post! Hooray!

Oh I can't wait for weekend so I can sleeeep! I had assignments, fabrics to buy, sketches to make and I still have to sew quite a lot. And I am also excited about a new edition of the Absolutely Fabulous Fair coming up this Sunday! Hope to see lots of bloggers there, who will be joining?

Don't you just love trees in bloom? This is my favorite part of Spring, definitely! Each year I take different photos of all trees that catch my eye.

Oh and the shoes are recently bought! I needed a pair of oxfords, I have always been fascinated by them, and in nude shades are a delight!

I didn't.. These are the first photos since my return from Portugal and well...there is no time for beautiful landscapes or places.

Gosh that contrast bewtween me and the building is something isn't it? Quite strange.

I found that green dress after I saw these two from the Fall 2011 fashion shows. First one from Marc Jacobs and second from Mulberry. They resemble, and believe me, I haven't gone shopping thinking "I want a dress like that". But they stuck in my mind and when I saw that one when thrifting, I thought "wow!" And of course it cost about 10 times cheaper I imagine.

Yes, yes I know these are meant to be for the upcoming season, and I am in a some kind of Spring, but I just felt the need for color and well.. due to the grey tones in this city and the neutral masses, everybody stared. And I felt so good!

At the moment I am trying to convince myself to get back to my usual courses and work, but going through these photos makes me feel a bit nostaligc..bot I guess that's normal.

Lisbon is such a great city, all built on hills with streets so abrupt and buildings incredibly beautiful, oh it's so different from my country. Hope I will return once again there..
